The start of a new Junior Hockey season is one sleep away and the Dryden GM Ice Dogs are getting ready to defend their championship.
Evan Walls, Sam Mouland, Tristan Knott and Eric Stout joined the CKDR Morning Show Thursday to preview the season.
18-year-old Walls is from North Vancouver, B.C. and he is entering his first year with the team.
Walls says he can’t wait to get out and about in the community.
He stresses it’s cool to have the younger kids look up to you.
18-year-old Mouland from Hay River, Northwest Territories is also playing his first season with the Ice Dogs.
Mouland says the entire community is so supportive of the team and he can’t wait to get started.
Knott and Stout are both back from last season and are expected to play a major role for the 2016-2017 champions.
Dryden GM opens the season on the road Friday night in Cochenour.
