Ice Dogs Launch Fundraising Drive

The Dryden GM Ice Dogs are preparing for a championship run.

The Junior Hockey Team has launched a ‘Road to the Dudley’ fundraiser.

2018 Dryden Dudley Hewitt Cup Committee Chair Colleen Oliphant and team President Mike Sveinson were guests on the CKDR Morning Show Tuesday to promote the drive.

If the Ice Dogs were to win the SIJHL championship, the team would advance to the Central Canada Junior Hockey championship in Trenton.

Oliphant says the round trip is roughly 3,700-kilometres and notes for $5/km you can help get the team there.

Kilometres can be purchased at all Ice Dogs playoff games and the Casually Hip.

Email transfers can be sent to drydengmiceodgstreasurer@gmail.com (using Dryden as the password)

Sveinson also issued a challenge for all community businesses and schools to decorate their windows and buildings in support of the playoff run.

He says prizes will be awarded for the best decorated.
