Ice Dogs Lose A Tight One

Once again the Dryden Ice Dogs took the Fort William North Stars to a shoot-out but this time it was the Stars who got the last laugh at the Fort William Gardens. Dryden lost 2-1 in the shootout and it was Curtis Barker who was the story. Barker faced 53 shots through 4 periods and 3 shooters in the shoot-out allowing just 3 goals overall. Garrett Nystedt scored Dryden’s lone goals early in the second but the Start scored a 5-3 power play goal ealry in the third to even it up. Dryden will face the North Stars again Saturday night at 6:30 Central time. CKDR will have live coverage beginning at 6:15.
