It’s the biggest game of the year for the Dryden GM Ice Dogs.
The Ice Dogs host Thunder Bay Saturday night in the Best Western Plus ‘Pink the Rink’ Cancer Awareness game.
Team captain Trevor Kavanaugh says they will be playing in memory of Brad West and all other local residents who have lost their life to cancer.
Kavanaugh says it’s an honour to go out and lace up the skates in support of all cancer survivors and cancer victims.
Forward Trey Palermo says playing the game is all they can do for those who have suffered from the disease and notes his teammates realize that it’s important to ensure they play 100%.
Graham Oliphant says they will be playing their heart out for the names on the back of their jersey and notes its important to support the Dryden community throughout hard times.
Game time is 7:30 and all fans are urged to wear Pink.
