Ice Dogs Remain Winless in Thunder Bay

The Thunder Bay Bearcats rallied to beat the Dryden Ice Dogs 5-4 in overtime Saturday night at the ‘Bear Den’.

Travis Lasarge scored the winner just 1 minute into the extra frame.

Dryden at one time had a 4-1 lead but the Bearcats replied with 3 consecutive goals in the second period.

Colin McIntosh led the way for Dryden scoring a pair of goals, with Rowen Bruetsch and Chris Kitt adding singles.

Graham Harrington made 40 saves for the Ice Dogs.

Dryden still picks up a single point and is 3 points up on the Fort William North Stars and Bearcats.

The two teams will do it again Sunday night at 6:30 CST.

In other SIJHL play, the Schrieber Diesels clipped the Thunder Bay Bulldogs 1-0 and Marathon and Fort Frances played to a 6-6 tie.
