The Dryden Ice Dogs didn’t have to look very far for their first major signing of the off-season.
The Dogs have inked local defenseman Cody Kaus.
General Manager Brad Boyko believes Kaus will make an instant impact on the team.
Kaus played in three games with the Ice Dogs last season as an affiliated player and earned an assist.
He spent most of his time with the Kenora ‘AAA’ Midget Thistles.
Kaus says it’s a thrill to play at home and stresses he can’t wait for the upcoming season.
Kaus notes he learned a lot from his three games with the Dogs last season.
Kaus is a 5’11, 155-pound defenseman.
He played 75-games with Kenora and registered 5-goals and 16-assists, while only accumulating 18-penalty minutes.
