It was a hard fought game, but in the end, the power play cost the Dryden Ice Dogs a 4-2 loss against the Fort William North Stars tonight in Thunder Bay.
All four of the North Star goals came on the power play – with three in the 2nd and one more half way through the 3rd period.
All scoring for the Ice Dogs came in the 2nd period, with Joe Harding notching one at 12:25, followed by Merlyn Smith making his mark at 13:32.
That wraps up hockey for 2004, as the Dogs take their Christmas break. But more SIJHL action will be coming your way in 2005, and as always, LIVE on CKDR.
