The monkey is now off the back of the Dryden Ice Dogs against the
Borderland Thunder.
The Ice Dogs allowed only 22 shots on route to a convincing 4-1 win
over the Thunder Wednesday night at the ‘Dog Pound’.
Dryden killed 9-powerplays in the game while scoring once with the man advantage.
Merlyn Smith found the back of the net once, as did Jordan Chong, Sean
Bassingthwaite and Blair Oversby.
Shawn Szachury earned the victory.
The win moves Dryden 4-points ahead of the K&A Golden Hawks for third
place, while the Thunder are now winless in 3.
In Thunder Bay, the Fort William North Stars peppered 72 shots on the Bulldogs net to earn a 7-1.
