Ice Dogs Sweep at Home

It was parents-billets appreciation weekend at the Dryden Arena, and the Ice Dogs didn’t disappoint.
With family members looking on, the Ice Dogs scored a pair of shutout victories.
On Friday night, Sean Bassingthwaite scored 5 goals to lead Dryden past Thunder Bay Bulldogs 16-0.
It was a big night for the Ice Dogs, with Cory Smith scoring his first SIJHL goal.
Also finding the back of the net, Liam Walker (2), Jordan Lamarche (2), Matt Tryhuba, Jamie Davies, Ryen McKinnon, Merlyn Smith, Kyle Schroder and AJ Royce.
Ryan Michaud had a quiet night, as Dryden outshot the Bulldogs 75-8.
On Saturday night, Michaud recorded his second straight shutout as the Ice Dogs blanked the Bulldogs 4-0.
Kyle Schroder led the way with 2 markers, while Matt Tryhuba and Jordan Chong added singles.
Dryden outshot Thunder Bay 63-8.
The Ice Dogs have now won 8 straight and are now only 1 game under .500.
Dryden will prepare for the Borderland Thunder Wednesday night at the ‘Dog Pound.’
