The Sioux Lookout Flyers made a real effort to get their first win of the season but the Dryden Ice Dogs held of the expansion club for a 3-2 win in Sioux Lookout Saturday night. The Flyer’s Basil Goodchild opened the scoring 7 seconds into the contest to make it 1-0 and scored his second to make it 2-2 in the third. But Dryden owned the middle frame scoring twice and Tristan Allain scored the winner midway through the third. Kevin Burton and Brendan Church also scored for Dryden. Thomas Black earned the win between the pipes for Dryden while Josh Michano took the loss. Dryden and Sioux Lookout will now rest until Wednesday. The Dogs are home to the Jr. Sabres. The Sabres are on the road to take on teh Stars.
