Ice Dogs Win Series Openier

The Dryden Ice Dogs scored a book-end win in game 1 of the best of seven SIJHL Finals. Dryden scored the frist 2 goals and the last two goals to win 4-3 over the Fort William North Stars. No one scored in the first then the teams exploded for 5 goals in the second leaving the Stars up 3-2. Dryden then scored a powerplay goal and a 4 on 4 goal to win the game. Colin McIntosh scored twice inlcuding the winner while Chris Kitt and Marlon Gardner each scored singles. Graeme Harrington garnered the victory between the pipes. Joel Langevin, Michael MacDonald and Sean Bassingthwaite all scored for Sort William. Game 2 is set for Sunday night at the Dryden Memorial Arena the “Dog Pound”. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m. and CKDR will have the call beginning at 7:15 with the pre-game show.
