Ignace Accepting Fire Evacuees

The Town of Ignace says its accepted 105 evacuees from New Osnaburgh First Nation.
The evacuees arrived in the community early this morning (Thursday) and are being housed in area hotels and being fed by local restaurants.
They join 80-people who were forced from their homes and are currently seeking refuge in Sioux Lookout.
A 23-thousand hectare fire continues to blow smoke into the community.
Smoke is also reported in Red Lake.
