Ignace Mayor Calls it Quits

A major vacancy to fill in Ignace.
Mayor Lee Kennard has announced his resignation, effective immediately.
Kennard is citing personal reasons but in a media release he notes it won’t be easy leaving the community where he’s lived for 35-years.
Kennard was elected as a first term Mayor in 2010.
He says he believes he’s accomplished a lot in a short time and notes he really hated to make the decision.
