Ignace Police Chase

OPP have an Alberta man in custody following a brief police chase Wednesday.
Ignace OPP received a report that the accused failed to pay for gas at the Dryden Safeway Gas Bar.
The vehicle was then spotted on Highway 17, west of Ignace.
Police say the suspect attempted to evade officers by turning into the Ignace Municipal Office parking lot where he abandoned the stolen vehicle and fled into the bush.
Officers along with the K-9 Unit apprehended the man after a short chase.
The 46-year old from Calgary has been charged with three counts of possession of a stolen credit card, possession of stolen property over five thousand dollars, and driving while disqualified.
He is scheduled to appear in court Friday.
