Ignace Storm 2

no one was injured in yesterday’s wind storm that caused signficant
damage in ignace.
the storm hit early in the morning, leaving residents without power
and gas for most of the day.
the severe weather is being described as a microburst and environment
canada confirms a twister did not touch down.
incident commander shawn dutracy says winds uprooted trees, damaged
buildings, ripped the roof off several structures and flipped over
transports, cars and planes.

power has been restored to most hydro one customers with the exception
of 40, who will remain in the dark until the noonhour.
fortunately no one was injured.
