yesterday’s wind storm in ignace is being described as a microburst and
not a tornado according to environment canada.
the severe weather snapped trees, power lines and phone lines, sent
debris flying across the community and ripped the roof off the mto
building and the northwoods inn.
incident commander shawn dutracy says the clean-up effort will take
some time but notes it could have been worse.
