Illegal Hunting Costs 3-Hunters

Two Southern Ontario men and one American have been fined a total of $12,780 relating to the illegal hunting of moose at camp Southwest of Atikokan.
Conservation Officers checked a hunting party of four at a camp on Flanders Road in October 2007 and discovered that a bull moose had been shot without a tag.
42-year-old Ronald Cook of Gravenhurst and 40-year-old Jason Cook of Columia, Missouri were both convicted of illegally hunting a moose without a licence, possessing and transporting illegally killed wildlife and having a void licence.
Both men received a 2-year hunting suspension.
63-year-old Klaus Rohrich of Cobourg was convicted of failing to properly attach a game seal to a bull moose and providing a false statment.
