Illegal Hunting Costs Man in Sioux Lookout Area

An Ontario man has been fined $3,500 for illegally shooting a moose and leaving it to spoil near Sioux Lookout.
Court heard that David Huitson and his party were hunting off Mile 20 Pit Road last month when Huitson shot what he thought was a calf.
He later discovered that it was a bull moose.
The resident of Little Britain didn’t have a tag, so he left the animal there to rot.
His firearm was seized.
