Double bad news for a boater on Lake of the Woods.
A 28 year old Kenora man has not only lost his licence, but has also lost his boat.
The OPP say they received a complaint of boat being driven at a very high speed near the Keewatin Channel Bridge around 5:30 Friday afternoon.
Members of the OPP’s Marine and Trails Unit managed to catch up and noticed the vessel seemed to be damaged.
Police determined the operator had been drinking and he was arrested at the scene.
Scott Cranston has been charged with impaired operation of a vessel and to make matters worse, his boat sank while police were still on the scene.
