It’s probably one of the first garage sales geared towards kids.
The “Kids Stuff” sale is Friday and Saturday at Open Roads School and all proceeds go towards Grade 3 student Damon Okemow.
Okemow has been diagnosed with a very rare disease (NMDA Receptor Antibody Encephalitis).
There are only six known cases of this disease in North America.
10-year-old Chris Maua was a guest on the CKDR Morning Show today and he made a plea for donations.
Maua is encouraging kids to donate their toys or items.
Maua says he hopes to give Damon’s family a head-start on medical costs.
Donations can be dropped off at Open Roads School.
The garage sale is Friday from 3 until 7 and Saturday from 7 until noon.
