The Dryden Museum is looking to make the building even more wheelchair accessible.
There is a ramp available, but the improvements will be made to the doors, which will make them easier to open.
Curator Leah Gardner says it provides more independence for those who usually depend on assistance.
“Meaning that someone can come in on a wheelchair and not need any help because the doors will be fully accessible for them to get into the building.”
Gardner says they will be doing fundraising as well, such as the bird auction where people can build a bird house and then donate it to the auction.
Proceeds from the auction will go to the construction of the new doors.
Gardner says work is estimated to begin in 2014.
