Those involved with the new Northern Ontario Medical School have been waiting for this moment for over 2 years.
The first Board of Directors meeting is being held today in Sudbury.
Chair Dr. Fred Gilbert says its an exciting first step and after a few bumps in the road, everything is now running smoothly.
Gilbert says they hope to meet 4 times a year to start with.
The School with Campuses in Thunder Bay and Sudbury is expected to welcome its first students in Fall 2005.
