Folks in Sioux Lookout may notice an increased police presence in the town for the next couple of weeks.
Seven new recruits with the Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service are headed to the community for training exercises.
Fresh from the Ontario Police College, the recruits will spend eight days learning the ropes with Sioux Lookout OPP members.
The officers will receive training in areas such as suicide prevention, investigating sexual assaults and cross cultural sensitivity.
