The Provincial Government is being asked to open the vaults to the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund.
Kenora-Rainy River MPP Howard Hampton suggests that as much as 300-million dollars is in the Heritage Fund bank account instead of being spent on projects in Northwestern Ontario.
He says their are communities in this region in desparate need of that funding.
Hampton suggests the Eves Government is planning to use the heritage money as a slush fund for the next provincial election.
