More information has been released about the disappearance of Valerie Cain.
Cain was located on the weekend after spending 6-days in the bush about 30-kilometres south of Red Lake.
A family friend told the Chronicle Journal that the Keewatin woman stopped to explore river rapids near Highway 105 after finishing a shift at the Maragaret Cochenour Memorial Hospital.
She planned a picnic in the area but got lost and couldn’t find her way back to the vehicle.
Cain is currently recovering in Hospital.
