Insider Trading Case Wraps Up

A settlement has been reached with one of four people charged in an insider trading case that had a connection to New Gold.

The Ontario Securities Commission imposed several conditions against Donna Hutchison after agreeing she had passed on information about pending acquisitions to others who benefited financially.

Some of that information related to New Gold’s takeover of Rainy River Resources.

Hutchinson was a legal assistant at a Toronto law firm at the time.

Cases against three others involved remain unresolved.
