The Provincial NDP already have an interested candidate to replace Howard Hampton.
Sarah Campbell of Oxdrift has announced her intention to seek the NDP nomination for the Kenora-Rainy River Riding.
The 29-year-old sits on the Kenora District Services Board and the District of Kenora Unincorporated Ratepayers Association.
Campbell has spent the past 8-year’s working for Howard Hampton in the Dryden office.
She was also elected President of the Kenora-Rainy River NDP in 2007 and has chaired the Election Planning Committees both Federally and Provincially.
Campbell says she decided to seek the nomination following a recommendation to do so from Hampton.
The NDP will be holding nomination meetings in 5-communities starting on August 12th.
The party will officially announce its candidate on the 15th.
