The month of October was cold and wet in the Dryden area.
Bill Laidlaw of Signal Weather Services says it started out warm with a high of 19.8 on the 8th and ended with a low of -7.9 on the 30th.
Laidlaw says the average temperature for the month ended up being +4 degrees, which is just below the long term average.
He notes that’s the sixth coldest October since 2001.
Laidlaw says final precipitation numbers came in at 82.3-millimetres, up from the average of 63.6.
He points out we had about 16 days of rain.
The normal amount for October is 10.
