The Ministry of Environment and Energy continue to investigate a chemical spill at the Weyerhaeuser Mill in Dryden Tuesday night.
The chlorine dioxide spill forced the city to activate emergency procedures, and temporarily evacuate a twelve block area of downtown Dryden and the Weyerhaeuser Mill.
The MOEE estimates that up to three thousand gallons of chlorine dioxide may have been involved.
Ministry Spokesperson Jon Barr says there is no environmental concern at this time however they continue to conduct gas monitoring tests.
Weyerhaeuser officials believe a damaged pipe vented the gas.
No one was injured.
