Investigator Will Look At Watered Down Chemo Drugs

Ontario’s health minister says she’s taking action to find out how watered down chemotherapy drugs ended up being given to more than 11-hundred patients in Ontario and elsewhere.
She says the province will appoint an independent investigator to the case to try to determine if what happened was a system issue or just an isolated incident.
Four hospitals in Ontario and one in New Brunswick are contacting the affected patients to arrange quick appointments with their oncologists.
Cancer Care Ontario, the College of Pharmacists, the provincial governments and Health Canada are also investigating the watering down of the cancer medications.
