Invoice Sent to Province About Shape of NWO Highwa

A group representing transport drivers is fed up with mounting repair bills caused by the poor state of Northwestern Ontario Highways.
‘The Truckers Voice’ has sent the Province a bill for a million dollars to get the point across.
Spokesperson Peter Turner says the invoice only covers 50 transports.
Turner says they are being stuck with massive repair bills thanks to the shape of the roads and he warns that truckers face serious financial difficulty and even closure of business unless the excess costs are eliminated.
Turner says the Government collects road and gas taxes to fund Highway improvements but he has seen little evidence that the money is being spent in the region.
