It’s Teddy Bear Story Time and what better story than ‘the Story of Winnie’.
Irene Skene will be at the Dryden Public Library Friday at 1:00pm to read her book ‘Harry’s Bear’, the true story of ‘Winnie the Pooh’.
Skene says it’s geared towards kids, but open to everyone.
Skene says her great Uncle was on the train that stopped in White River, the spot where Major Harry Colebourn met the bear that inspired the legendary story.
August 24th is also the 104th Anniversary of the event.
