It was a Dry heat

The month of June was warmer and drier than normal across most of northwestern Ontario.

Most communities across the region reported lower than normal precipitation.

Sandy Radecki is a meteorologist with Environment Canada and says both Red Lake and Geralton set records for the driest June on record.

Radecki adds that the average temperature in most communities across the northwest were one or two degrees above normal in June.
