Fort Frances High School, St. Francis, and J.W. Walker
students and staff won’t be going to school today.
J.W. Walker Elementary caught fire after an explosion
last night around 12:30.
Fire Chief Jerry Armstrong says a gas leak has been
reported in the area.
Armstrong notes the fire isn’t linked to the gas
situation.

The fire department hasn’t been able to gain access into
the school. Armstrong says the fire started in the east
end of the building.
