The Jack Pine Budwork population in Northwestern Ontario
has collapsed.
Natural Predators, spraying programs, and damp cool
weather contributed to the decline in larvae.
Ministry of Natural Resources Specialist Todd Skene says
just because the pests population is down, doesn’t mean
they can’t be found in the region.
