In loving memory of Jody Lynn Cosco (nee Schmidt)
Born on October 12, 1964 in Thompson, MB, Jody moved to Dryden at a very early age. She attended local schools such as Hillcrest School, and Dryden High School. Continuing her education, she attended Carleton University in Ottawa graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism. Jody had been employed in Dryden for a short time prior to moving to Vancouver, B.C. There, she married her husband Randall, and together they had a daughter Mia (now age 7). They returned to Dryden from time to time to visit family. Being employed as an editor for a Human Resources agency, Jody still found time for other interests. She participated in seven marathons both in Canada and the United States. Sewing and reading were hobbies she truly enjoyed. Jody truly loved to help others, and went out of her way to do so. She passed away in Vancouver on November 4th, 2002, and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Jody leaves behind her parents Harold and Carolyn Schmidt, a brother Mark (Lisa) all of Dryden; her husband Randall and daughter Mia from Vancouver. Also surviving are Brendan, Cameron and Michaela her nephews and niece. Numerous other relatives also survive her. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday November 16, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. at the Dryden Community Funeral Home with Mr. John Mulders officiating. If friends so desire, donations may be made to a charity of choice through the Dryden Community Funeral Home, 249 Grand Trunk Ave., Dryden, ON P8N 2X3.
