John Rafferty Taking A Run At Queen’s Park

John Rafferty has been acclaimed as the NDP candidate for the Thunder Bay-Atikokan riding in the next provincial election.

The former MP says he was comfortable staying out of politics, but too many people are expressing a dislike for Kathleen Wynne and are tired of Liberal corruption.

Rafferty says his campaign will focus on hydro, violence against nurses in hospitals and injured workers.

He was asked about rumors of an end of Summer election.

Rafferty believes the Premier would like that but points out she is looking at some corruption court cases coming up in the Fall that will likely result in some distractions.

He adds an early vote isn’t likely due the recent British election results as well.
