A golden moment for a brother and sister team from Dryden High School.
Liam and Julia Jones finished first at the NWOSSA Badminton championship in Thunder Bay Wednesday.
They finished with a 5-0 in the mixed doubles division, with wins over teams from Terrace Bay, Atikokan, Thunder Bay and Manitouwadge.
Junior competitors don’t move onto to OFSAA but the results show plenty of promise for the future.
In Senior Girls Doubles, Rebecca Potter and Nicole Baranesky from Red Lake finished third.
