The NDP critic for Aboriginal Affairs wants to ensure
First Nation Children receive
the special medical care they need.
B.C. MP Jean Crowder’s Jordan’s Principal has been
endorsed, but to date the Conservative’s have yet to take
any steps to ensure First Nation children’s health care
costs are adequately covered.
Crowder says it’s not fair for children to suffer while
both levels of government hash out the payment details.

The Federal Government recently decided to cover the
medical cost for Norway House families in Northern
Manitoba.
Crowder notes that the Federal Government isn’t funding
the Manitoba community on an ongoing basis, and have yet
to commit to looking at other cases across Canada.
