Judicial Review into Smoking Ruling

A Judicial Review into the Health Services Appeal and Review Board
decision on the Regional smoking ban will be heard next week in Toronto.
The Board ruled over 2 years ago that the Medical Officer of Health
did not have the authority to take action.
The review was ordered by the Province and Regional MOH Dr. Pete
Sarsfield says 2-things could happen Monday.
The Attorney General has been working with the Health Unit since the
decision to prepare for the case.
The hearing is only expected to last a day, however its unclear when
a ruling will be handed down.
