It was an emotional weekend for a Dryden family at the Fort Frances Open Judo Tournament.
The prestigious Rush Mitani Trophy was presented to the Sutton family in honour of the late David Sutton as a builder of North Western Ontario Judo.
On the mat, Dryden’s Josh Marion, Aliyah Readman and Mike Lampshire all took home silver medals.
Emma Bell placed third and is now headed to the Ontario Winter Games.
Former Dryden grappler Richard Norman also finished third.
