The heat wave is over and so is the month of July.
Bill Laidlaw of Signal Weather Services says last month was on the warm side but definitely not exotic.
The average temperature was 19.4, a half a degree above normal.
No records were set and Laidlaw says over the past few days we would have had to gone two degrees warmer to break 1975 records.
Laidlaw says total rainfall was 145.7-millimetres, 42.6 above normal.
However, he notes the rainfall total basically occurred over a total of seven days.
