A Ministry of Health sponsored pilot project is being
well received at the Lake of the woods district hospital.
The “Just Clean Your Hands” campaign started over six
months ago in Kenora.
Project Coordinator Susan McLeod says hospital staff
have been paying extra attention to their hand washing
techniques.

An independent source has visited the hospital three
times to observe health care workers hand hygiene
practices. The ministry initiative will be implemented at
all hospitals across the province.
