#1 follows….
Delegates to the 65th Kenora District Municipal Association meeting get down to work this morning in Ignace.
News Director Randy Pike has this look at the agenda for the day…
There may not be any Provincial Government representation here at the KDMA meetings but that doesn’t mean a quiet time.
Several resolutions will be dealt with this afternoon dealing with such issues as 1 that would call for a change in the way the Northern Ontario School of Medicine Bursary fund is administered. The Township of Sioux Narrows-Nestor Falls would like to see the current system replaced with a yearly per capita levy from all members of the Northern Ontario Municipal Association.
Forestry will naturally be the major topic of discussion today with Dryden Mayor Anne Krassilowsky & Kenora’s Dave Canfield giving an update on where things stand now in the battle to save the industry & the livelihood of thousands across the region.
At the 65th annual Kenora District Municipal Association meetings in Ignace, I’m Randy Pike.
