Mining, tourism, energy and forestry are among the topics of discussion as the Kenora District Municipal Association Conference gets underway in earnest Friday in Ignace.
KDMA President Phil Vinet says they will also be addressing labour and training needs in local communities.
Vinet adds they will hold discussions on treaty impacts on local communities
He says they will receive updates from FedNor, the NOHFC, Homes for the Aged, the Health Unit and the Services Board.
