The Conservative Government is defending the high price of food in remote northern communities.
The opposition is attacking the feds on the ‘Nutrition North’ program.
Aboriginal Affairs Minister Bernard Valcourt says they have improved the transportation network and stresses the cost to feed a family of four has gone down 110-dollars a month.
Valcourt adds he’s accepted the recommendations of the Auditor General to improve the flaws in the program.
