Municipalities in the Kenora District say they would like to see the budget for social services cut this year.
The Kenora District Service Board met Monday to review the 2010 budget.
Chair Rory McMillan says they have requested a 1% cut.
McMillan says many members of the District Services Board say they would like the agency to tighten its belt and not increase staffing levels this year.
He adds a 1% cut would amount to about $130,000, but any reduction could result in less money from the Provincial Government as well.
