5 years of handling Social Housing in the Region has come to an end for
the Kenora District Housing Corporation.
The organization will be dissolved and all management responsibilities
will be transferred to the Kenora District Services Board.
CAO Sten Lif says the delivery of Social Housing will be more
effective once their new model is fully implemented.
Local Municipalities could save $145,000 and the KDSB would
also be able to look at affordable housing for seniors if requested.
