Budget Changes for Health Unit

Most Municipalities in the Region will be paying less for Northwestern
Health Unit services because of a drop in population numbers.
Medical Officer of Health Dr. Pete Sarsfield says the formula used
by the Liberals to determine population figures will cost communities more
in the long run.
The Municipal levy has now dropped to 3.8%, thanks in part to a
Government grant for unorganized territories.
Sarsfield says a $267,000 surplus will be used to build up
reserves.
