Sarsfield Reacts to Health Network

The Province’s decision to disband District Health Councils and
form Local Integration Networks concerns the Region’s Chief Medical Officer
of Health.
Dr. Pete Sarsfield doesn’t oppose the Network but questions the
coverage local residents will receive.
Sarsfield says the local network that extends from the Manitoba
Border to White River is too big to meet this area’s health care needs.
Sarsfield adds at this time they have no pull in the network that
looks at the future of health care in Northern Ontario.
